Description

Famous sweet late harvest Muscat wine favoured by Napoleon, King Louis Phillipe of France and Charles Dickens. It’s been stored on its side in the base of my spiral cellar since release, only selling now due to having to reduce cellar for impending house move. Absolutely delicious and still has masses of ageing potential, the average genuine online price is currently £119 pb on Wine-Searcher. Reviewed by wine enthusiast in 2011 with tasting notes as ‘butterscotch, ripe mango, toasted almonds and Candied orange.’ Each bottle has its own cardboard case with a leaflet explaining the history going back to 1685. Drink some and give a bottle to a favoured friend, if you like sweet wine this is exceptional interesting and sought after.
