Founded over 125 years ago, La Rioja Alta is
legendary, making the finest and most remarkable
traditional Riojas. Crafted from the pick of the very
best grapes, slowly fermented and aged five years in
oak, the wine sings out with gorgeous complexity.

La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 2000 is definitely one of my favourite reds that have ever been made on this planet. Made of Graciano and Tempranillo.

The harvest is carried out by hand and the grapes go through a rigorous selection process.
After the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, Rioja Alta 904 Gran Reserva ages for 4 years in American oak barrels made in the winery's cooperage.

Every 6 months the wine is racked barrel by barrel according to the traditional method.
Rioja Alta 904 Gran Reserva is an excellent wine, one of the best examples of long ageing in the Rioja.

TASTING NOTES:
* View: La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 2000 is red tile with iodinated edges, middle layer.
* Nose: Intense aroma with notes of spices, hardwoods, mint chocolate background of plums, raisins and candied fruit.
* Mouth: Balanced on the palate, with good structure, polished tannins, silky and elegant. Large and complex aftertaste.

PAIRING: Marida with light stews and poultry.

STORAGE TEMPERATURE: 16 ° C
