Description

"Drinking remarkably well and a lot of wine for this price"

This 2004 blend of 65% Syrah and 35% Carignan has a deep purple colour with fresh scents of crushed red berries mixed with aromas of wood and spices.

A slightly wooded taste with a touch of chocolate and plump yet supple tannins. Delicious classy French wine.

Les Verrières de Montagnac was founded in 2004 by three friends who combined their individual competencies and skills. Walter Pizzaferri for the public relation, Olivier Groux, the wine maker previously at a prestigious Bordeaux Estate, and Sebastien Pichot, grandson of wine makers from the Champagne region, who has dedicated his passion and career to the development and managing of vineyards.

Always with quality in mind Les Verrières de Montagnac adhere to the principles of respectful winemaking, restricting the use of weed killers, using severe pruning techniques, and if needs be harvests early to control the yield, which also benefits the ripening of the grapes. In order to achieve the best results, each parcel and growth is treated with individual attention. Ageing is adapted in accordance to the potential of each wine using vats and French oak.
