Description

Unlabelled but known history and prevenance from release. Taken from a case that was originally a retirement gift for a guy who was both Chairman of Cockburns and a director of Harvey's. I've been slowly working my way through a case, and can confirm that the corks are stamped with MacKenzie as well as the vintage and bottling date of 1957.

The bottles are in time warp condition. Astonishingly so. The fill level is still right up into the neck, and there's a freshness of fruit that belies the 65 years in bottle. One port loving friend I shared a bottle with remarked that he wouldn't have batted an eyelid if I told him it was a 70s or even 80s bottling. He also said it was the bottle of his life.
