Tasting note: Not surprisingly, this offers a big step up in aromatic elegance with its aromas of dried acacia blossom, citrus rind, spice and wet stone where the latter element also characterizes the supple, round and intense medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent complexity and genuinely striking length. This very classy effort should age well over the medium-term. Comments: Outstanding

Dom de Montille, Le Cailleret Premier Cru Puligny-Montrachet 2009 More mineral on the nose than Les Narvaux du Dessous. Then creamy lemon on the palate. Very attractive, balanced, fresh and long. There’s even a juiciness that comes through on the finish and whets the appetite. (JH)
