Description

The full name of this wine is: Marchesi di Barolo Barolo Riserva della Castellana Gia Opera Pia
This note is from Cellar Tracker - dated 2020
This bottle, just as the last, is wonderful example of old Barolo of great provenance. Light ruby, with no trace of bricking. Elegant sous-bois on the nose and palate, with sour cherry and rose petals. Classic. This could hold for a few more years, but my last bottle probably won t survive that long.

The bottle is very dark so not easy to photo the fill level - but it is remarkably high - very close to the cork.

I bought this a couple of years ago from a merchant who got it directly from the producer. It has been stored in my Eurocave since purchase.
