I have for sale 6 bottles of Mas de Daumas Gassac 2006 which I have just taken out of bond in the last couple of weeks.. Therefore, all VAT and duty has been paid on these bottles. No. Buyers premium payable either.

Famously described as the ‘First Growth of the Languedoc’, Mas De Daumas Gassac remains unique in the region.

The world-famous red is an intriguing blend of Cabernet Sauvignon along with a mix of indigenous and more unusual varieties from the south of France, such as Grenache, Cinsualt and Tempranillo. Mas De Daumas Gassac Blanc is a similarly fascinating blend of grape varieties, with Chardonnay and Viognier taking centre stage. Lauded across the wine world, not for nothing is this Domaine named the Lafite of the Languedoc.

This wine has a long ageing potential but is drinking well now. Perfect with complex dishes such as red meat, game (especially venison and wild-boar) and cheeses. Profoundly deep in the glass, opening to reveal velvety dark berry fruit and violet aromas. On the palate there are plentiful fine but dense tannins providing the framework for dark Morello cherry and blackberry fruit, and more subtle smoky nuances.

In my opinion this is the best value Bordeaux blend in France. The cheapest individual bottles of this can be bought is £32, my reserve is well below this.
