3 bottles of mature Australian Barossa Valley wine:-

1 bottle of Charles Melton Nine Popes 1992:-
Charles Melton states that some of the world's oldest Grenache vines contribute to this cuvee...Gnarled old bush and bush garden vines make up the majority of the fruit,together with a small quantity of Shiraz and Mourvedre. The grapes are all dry grown and the cepage has resulted in a rich complex style,showing fragrant fruit,with a hint of spice,with a full firm palate,rounded off by 12 months oak maturation.

1 bottle of Charles Melton Shiraz 1991:-

This 1991 Barossa Valley Shiraz shows the classy style of the region's most prized grape.Mild vintage conditions during 1991 gave fruit with perfect ripeness levels and flavour development.The result is a rich,dark Shiraz,showing a blend of spice and berries on the nose and a full weighty palate,rounded out and given complexity by 15 months maturation in American oak hogsheads.

1 bottle St Hallett Old Block Shiraz 1992:-

Only the grapes from 80-100 year old "shy-bearing,deep rooted"vines are selected to make up the Old Block Shiraz cuvee.The long ripening period of the 1992 vintage has again provided the inherent,rich fruit and palate depth,while the soft and lingering flavours result from gentle handling of the fruit from the vine,through ferment and maturation in American oak barrels.This combination of characters presents a full flavoured mouthfilling "chocolatey" Shiraz,with a soft and velvety finish.
