Description

Clos des Fées is probably the absolute reference in the Roussillon.

Here are 2 bottles of each of the following wines:

- Domaine du Clos des Fées vieilles vignes 2012, Cotes du Roussillon Villages Red. 40% Carignan, 35% Grenache, 15% LLadoner Pelut, 10% Syrah.

Made from the oldest vines of the domain, this cuvée is powerful, rich and concentrated. Flavours of red berries and sweet spices are very subtle, tannins are there but well integrated. The finish is long, round and fruity. This wine boasts a real elegance brought by the age of vines. Absolutely delicious - and noted 94 by Robert Parker!

- Domaine du Clos des Fées Granche Blanc vieilles vignes 2014, Cotes du Roussillon Villages White. 94% Grenache blanc, 6% Grenache gris.

The Vieilles Vignes Blanc is made of grapes coming from a parcel of 100 years old Grenache vines, which is quite unusual for a white! It shows a pale golden robe and a delicate nose of white peach, flowers and almonds. The palate is round, fruity with a very long, slightly sweet finish. It is very rare to see a white of such a quality in Languedoc-Roussillon!

- De battre mon coeur s'est arreté" 2014, Cotes du Roussillon Villages Red. 97% Syrah, 3% Grenache.

Literally "My heart stopped beating", this special cuvée is an incredible 97% Syrah. A modern and fancy label, a dark colour, an explosive nose of black currant, spices and liquorice, a concentrated palate with silky tannins... it is just a beautiful and expressive red from Roussillon. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different.
