Description

2 bottles of each of the following red wines from Languedoc-Roussillon:

- Domaine d'Aigues Belles, cuvée "Lombarde" 2012 (Languedoc)

In this cuvée, Bordeaux grapes Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are added to the local old-vine Grenache. The terroir is in the Languedoc appellation, but the wine is "only" an IGP d'Oc to give the possibility to blend any grape. The result is a delicious and round red wine, benefiting from a Bordeaux lookalike structure and the heat from Languedoc. A suprising and really nice blend.

45% Grenache, 30% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon

- Mas de l'Oncle Pic Saint Loup, Elegance 2013 (Languedoc)

Elégance is the flagship bottle of the domain, from the rising appellation of Pic Saint Loup. And let's be honest: it is just brillant! Nose shows aromas of gooseberry and backcurrant with a touch of olive. On the palate the wine is round, fresh and gives a deliciously fruity mouthfeel, ending with a spicy finish.

60% Syrah, 40% Grenache

- Les Sorcières Rouge 2014, Domaine du Clos des Fées (Roussillon)

"Sorcières" - literally, "witches" - is the most famous cuvée from Clos des Fées to people keen on more affordable wines, and has become one of the region's reference in its category. A deep colour, intense aromas of red and black fruit, soft tannins and a refreshing spicy finish... We love every sip of it. This subtle blend (old vines of Grenache and Carignan with young Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes) is a generous medium-bodied red, typical of the Côtes du Roussillon appellation. It is delicious young and will last 5 years in your cellar.
