Description

Single bottle in its own embossed 'coffin' with impeccable provenance having been bought by me direct from the chateau which I visited on 22nd July 2003. Parker, giving the wine 90/100 describes it as having "an open-knit nose of cedar wood, blackberry liquer, cassis and coffee. Fleshy, ripe and mouth filling ... ".

The artist who designed the label this year was French - Niki de Saint Phalle (1930/2002) details of which can be seen on the Mouton website.

Case clean; bottle wrapped in tissue and undisturbed but slightly nicked (presumably when packing at the chateau). Regret no photograph due to wish to leave tissue undisturbed.

Could be acquired for some fifteen year celebration.
