Description

The curious case of the mystery Mouton. Stored in a German collector's cellar since the 1980s, the label has rotted away. The capsule clearly shows it's Mouton and the colour of the wine shows age and gradation. The cork is firm.

I've looked at Moutons from the 1980s, and their prices range from around £1,400 for the 1980 model to around £13,000 for the 1982 model. The reserve on this is £600, so you'll either get a good deal or the bargain of the year. I was tempted to cut the foil to see what the year is, but I'd sooner leave it in as good a condition as possible.
