Description


Paolo Bea is the standard bearer for the slow food movement and wine made without intervention--the estate’s motto is "Nature should be observed, heard, [and] understood, not dominated.” Bea grows its grapes organically and makes its wines without additives or intervention; quite simply, they are magical. Macerated on its skins for almost a month and aged extensively on its lees, this orange wine is a voluptuous beauty, curvaceous, complex and seductive. Santa Chiara’s blend of Grechetto, Malvasia, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Garganega offers a bouquet of honey, ripe apricot and zesty citrus. Surprisingly concentrated and earthy on the palate, this thick, full-bodied, skin-contact white has a strong mineral finish that lasts for minutes.
