Description

You are bidding on a bottle of Penfold's Bin 389 from 2005. The Bin 389 is a shiraz/cabernet blend and ages incredibly well. The level is a little below the capsule, and the label is in excellent condition. The wine has been stored in a Eurocave since purchase. The new release of this wine is now nearly £50.00 a bottle, so this is a chance to grab a bit of a bargain.

Saturated red color. Smoky kirsch, candied plum, cassis, cola and mint on the nose, with suave oak spices adding complexity. Plush, sharply focused dark fruit flavors offer very good clarity and are sweetened by mocha and vanilla. The mint note repeats on the finish and dusty tannins add structure but don't detract from the vibrant fruit. This is really persistent. 91 points
