Description

For auction is a superb and diffict to find bottle of Penfolds Bin 707 from the fantastic 2007 vintage. As Penfolds followers will know the Bin 707 is their top drawer Cabernet and is usually more difficult to get your hands on than the annual Grange releases.

Penfolds comments as follows:

"Penfolds Bin 707 continues to reinforce its reputation as the international benchmark for Australian Cabernet Sauvignon. Made from a multi-district blend, it transcends the vagaries of vintage,achieving a consistent style and outstanding quality each year. The Bin 707 style has intense varietal definition combined with new American oak to produce wines of great richness, power, harmony and concentration. Penfolds Bin 707 draws fruit mainly from Coonawarra, Padthaway, the Barossa Valley and select parcels from Penfolds' Bordertown Vineyard. This wine is brooding, with a selective read more...& slow aromaticrelease on the nose; familial barrel-ferment, cedary oak and formic notes share the stage with blackcurrant & blackberry fruits. On the palate this sumptuous wine Cassis / blackcurrant varietal fruits and savoury oak stake an immediate (style) claim. Sarsaparilla and choco-mint flavours mould together to create the next layer, followed by a more savoury immersion structurally impregnating any layering. Gripping tannins complete the offer".

This wine was bought by me at the time of release from Hailsham Cellars and has been stored in a proper wine store at 14 degrees ever since. As you can see from the photo of the actual bottle, number 21332 it is in perfect condition.

Postage will be £13.00 and is based on actual cost, polystyrene container in a strong outer box (£3.25) and Royal Mail Special Delivery (£9.75).

I cannot accept payment by Paypal. Bank transfers and cheques from UK banks are welcome. Payment by cash is also acceptable if you want to collect in person and save on the postage costs.
