Bin 707 is a very special wine in the Penfolds range bacause it epitomises the excellence of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety as established in the premium regions of South Australia. The comparative scarcity of material of the desired standard sets a limit on the amount of wine made in any one vintage. This exceptional wine combines the fine character of Cabernet with the art of red wine making so traditional to Penfolds.

At the time of release(1986)this wine won 2 Gold medals and 5 Silver medals and is an example of Penfolds consistency and pride in red wine making.
