Good Colour, meaty, almost malty but with attractive mulberry rich fuit, sweet, full bodied **** Michael Broadbent

John Duval's Grange from 1988 has a richly extravagant palate with complex mocha, dark chocolate, dark berry, herb fruit and dense ripe tannins. Finishes chalky firm but superbly long and flavourful. A great Grange still on the ascendancy.

A fabulous wine. Beautifully integrated fruit, oak and tannins. What impressed me most was the fact that it still had plenty of freshness and the tannins were also quite firm as well. Sadly it was my only bottle and for those of you that have some stashed away and are wondering if you should drink or keep longer, I can confidently say it will continue to deliver for the next decade.
