Description

Deep crimson. Ripe blackcurrant pastille/ dark chocolate/ Provençal herb aromas. The palate is well concentrated with pure blackcurrant/ dark cherry flavours, savoury/ malty oak and long fine grainy/ cedary tannins. Finishes long and bitter sweet.
An elegantly structured Grange with a good future. 90% Shiraz 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Langton's definitive Grange guide.

This is a very aromatic Grange that seems to be the product of a vintage where the wines are showing extremely well young. It is dense purple, with a sweet blackberry/cherry nose and some subtle cedar and licorice in the background, unctuously textured, thick, full, very concentrated and dense. Anticipated maturity: now-2017. Robert Parker 92/100.

Clear red. Minty and red berry nose. Taste of herbs, little pepper, lots of red fruit. Long aftertaste. This is a very eleganr Grange which is just wonderful to drink. Classical old style Australian Shiraz. The wine has still another 10 years life left. Drink now - 2020

1/15/2012 - MMCDDS WROTE:94 Points
Opened for approximately 2 hours then double decanted for an additional 2 hours. Beautifully expressive nose of cassis, old leather, some tapenade, some oak, dark stewed fruit and some herbal notes lurking in the background. On the palate this is full bodied but not overly heavy. Flavors of dark fruit, raisins and cedar with some earthy, herbal undertones and a moderately long(45 seconds by my watch), chalky tannic finish. This is my last bottle of the 1992 Grange, which I haven't tasted for a couple of years, and this one seems to have picked up more depth and complexity. All in all a very satisfying Grange.
