Description

Bought via BFW in June 2016 & stored in my Eurocave until 2020 at which point it was transferred to Nickolls & Perks temperature controlled storage until February 23. Fill level is into the neck & as you can see the bottle is in excellent condition. This is being relisted due to a time waster! See notes below-

Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider-
98/100, tasted March 2013,
Penfolds Grange is not a wine I often drink young. I find it far too massive and lacking in elegance. The 2001 change my mind in a hurry. It s full bodied, rich, sweet, ripe and packed with waves of Juicy berries, but the wine is balanced, round, open and even refined. Tasted blind with about 30 minutes of air, it was already showing well, and like all great wines, it kept getting better in the glass. Interestingly, this is one of the few vintages of Grange produced from 100% Shiraz.
Robert Parker, 98/100.
Tom Cannavan, 95/100.
