This is for a bottle of Penfolds RWT 2002...

So RWT stood for 'Red Winemaking Trial'. That trial was a single region Penfolds wine in direct contrast to its highly successful multi-regional blends. Now probably the best expressions of Barossa Shiraz available hence hard to find, RWT is aged in French oak, and said to be fleshier and more opulent than Penfolds Grange. I think it’s awesome Its rich and full-bodied, with blue and red fruit and spice its hard to resist – this is a very polished highly regarded vintage for drinking now or improvements beyond 2035, clearly not a trial anymore and well worth a buy.

Penfolds RWT Shiraz 2002 is a big, firm, blueberried, mouthfilling wine. But there’s balance here too. It has mounds of fine, filigreed, mature tannin and flavours of dark olive, blackcurrant, musk, salt, and spice-splashed cedar. A high and mighty wine of power and tannin, but it seems to know itself well. A confident, compelling wine of impact and structure. Will age. Drink 2015-2030

Just had to make some space in my Eurocave where this has been resting since release.
