This is bottle No. 19457 from a run of unknown size.

About the spirit:
Père Magloire is one of the best-known historic producers of Calvados, based in the Pays d’Auge, where double distillation and long ageing are traditional.

The Age Inconnu designation refers to a spirit at least 6 years of age. It was a forerunner of the XO designation. Père Magloire Age Inconnu blends are at least 20 years old with some of the material much older.

This style of Calvados is expected to show baked apple, caramel, toffee, dried fruit and spice, with oak influence adding vanilla and gentle bitterness.

Age is not stated on the label, but the profile is intended to be rich, rounded and contemplative, nuanced, and highly integrated.

Suitable for slow sipping, ideally served at room temperature in a small glass.
