For Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé, Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps selects wines from around 50 different crus, which he blends into an intricate and masterful cuvée. Pinot Noir dominates, constituting 50% of the blend, followed by equal measures of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Intense aromas of red and black fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and blackberries are complemented by a hint of exotic pomegranate. Lush and lively on the palate, it lingers into a full and generous finish. Try it with pan-seared duck with orange and cranberry sauce.
(50% pinot noir and 25% each of chardonnay and pinot meunier: Pale, bright pink. A wild, pungent bouquet evokes redcurrant, cherry and licorice, with a suave floral quality in the background. Juicy, penetrating red fruit flavors are braced by a note of blood orange and show impressive intensity. Finishes brisk and incisive, with excellent length.
