Description

Clos Henri is a 96 hectare property in Marlborough, purchased in March 2001. The unspoiled land that Clos Henri sits upon, drew the attention and admiration of the Bourgeois family who have been farming in Sancerre, France, for ten generations. The wine is made with grapes from young vines and due to the diligence of Bourgeois, rough diamonds are the result, which just require a little polish! The scent is of ripe summer fruits and the wine has a lovely dry finish. Made to enjoy – without being a Tutti Frutti! The Sauvignon grapes are fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees for six months, which adds a creamy texture. Very good wwith shrimps, chicken, soup or cheese.
