Description

A well preserved example of this absolutely legendary wine - offered here with NO RESERVE

This particular bottle formed part of a collection stored in a genuine cave below a villa in France. The owner had quite a collection, and has recently sold off various other bottles of cru classe Bordeaux ranging from the early 80s up to and including some 2008s. The was at last one other Petrus down there - a 1983.

Condition-wise, the level is at the base of the neck; the label is intact and in pretty good condition - a couple of water stains here and there and a nick bottom right - see pic 4. The capsule foil has come away from the neck of the bottle at the bottom, and has a few scuff marks on the top. All pictured. Cork feels wonderfully firm.

There is a Chateau & Estate importers' label attached to the front of the bottle, below the standard label (also pictured)

At around £2,000 a bottle in the market once Her Majesty's dues have been dealt with, this could be a bargain for someone with no reserve on this auction. Bonne chance!
