One 75cl bottle of 1982 M. Chapoutier Hermitage “Velours,” a rare sweet white Hermitage made from 100% Marsanne, presented with its original wooden case.

About the wine:
Velours is an ultra-rare late-harvest/passérillage sweet Hermitage from Chapoutier, produced only twice: 1944 and 1982. It marries the granitic minerality and power of the Hermitage hill with luscious, honeyed richness from naturally concentrated Marsanne. Expect baked pear and quince, acacia honey, almond cream, chamomile, candied citrus and wild herb notes, with a silky, glycerol texture and a long, nut-tinged finish. The 1982 northern Rhône vintage delivered ripe fruit and generous textures; well-stored bottles show remarkable complexity and poise today.

Rarity & collectability:
Only two vintages were ever made—1944 and 1982—making this a true unicorn for Rhône collectors. Original wooden case presentation further supports collectability.

Bottle/condition
75cl. Clean capsule and label for age; excellent level (see photos). Original wooden case included. Cellared cool, dark and stable.
