Description

Bought via BFW in March 2019 & stored in my Eurocave until 2020 at which point it was transferred to Nickolls & Perks temperature controlled storage until May 23. Very good fill level, almost at the bottom of the capsule & bottle is in very good condition. See below for notes-

Lush, sensuous, rich, deep, long and fresh, the fruit is sweet, spicy, earthy and bright. You also find notes of flowers, Kirsch and forest herbs. Silky, complex, bright and vibrant, there is an exotic edge to the texture to the finish. As good as it is now, it is only going to get better over the next decade.

Almost perfect. It is difficult to ask anything more from a great Mediterranean and such a tout court wine. This is an historic version of Rayas, one which enchanted, almost swept away wine critics around the world. It was a hot year and in the area considered to be less important than 2005. However, these are the conditions where Rayas makes the difference. The colour is a very lively ruby-garnet
