Description

I am auctioning two great bottles of Ridge Vineyard's iconic Monte Bello from the 1998 vintage. Drinking beautifully now, this wine retails at £125.00 a bottle at a leading London merchant. The labels are in excellent condition, the level is well into the neck on both bottles and there are no signs of seepage. I bought the wine on release and it has been stored in a Eurocave since that date.

For a review from ST:

Deep ruby color. Lively aromas of black raspberry, red licorice, redcurrant, mocha, tobacco and game. Quite dense and intensely flavored, but very firm and unevolved, with strong acids and a medicinal, inky austerity. Chewy tannins are very strong but evenly distributed. An infant today. -- Stephen Tanzer 90-94pts

The wine can be shipped to you, collected from North Wiltshire, or by arrangement, collected from Central London.
