Description

I have a small number of the 1980 left and have decided to put them up on BfW in 3s grouped according to the levels and visual condition.
However, we can't guarantee the condition of the wines because of their age. We have drunk the 1980, 1984 and 1985 and have found them to be quite acceptable, remembering what old Rioja was like. We have had some other people who have reported back that they were pleased but we have had some people who have found that the wine was past its best or off.
As such, this has to be mentioned as it might well be pot luck.
Visually they look all right, we have owned them for many years and they have been stored at a constant temperature.
These 3 bottles have levels at high shoulder (one at about top shoulder) and quite clean full labels. The capsules are in good condition for their age.
