Description

This is an amazing bottle of Georges Roumier's Morey-Saint-Denis Clos de la Bussiere 2004. It was bought by me from a merchant in the north within the last year, and has been stored in a Eurocave since then. The bottle is in excellent condition, the level is well into the neck, the capsule is clean and undamaged, with no signs of seepage. The label does have some marks on it though which can be seen from the photo.

($65) Good medium red. Sappy black cherry and spices on the nose; fruitier now than the village Chambolle. Then fatter and more harmonious on the palate, with good supple, accessible fruit. Tannins are nicely buffered on the lingering, ripe finish. Roumier sought wines with lighter tannins in 2004, carrying out less extraction during vinification: he vinified at a lower temperature than usual and though the cuvaison was as long as usual he did less pigeage 88 points

The wine can be shipped to you directly, collected from North Wilts any day, or collected from central London Mon-Fri until 22 Dec 14. If you pay using Paypal, them I'm afraid that their fees of 4% will be added to the invoice.
