Description

1x bottle of 1982 Chateau Saint Pierre, 4eme Grand Cru Classee du Medoc. St Julien AOC from the legendary 1982 vintage.

Fill level to shoulder. Label lightly soiled. Stored in underground dark and cool cellar.
Last bottle opened showed a combination of primary fruit, red plums, blackcurrant and cassis, oak characters and tertiary development (meaty, leathery notes, forest undergrowth and truffle. Opens up after 30mins - 1hr of decanting. Softened fine tannins.

Robert Parker:
Fully mature, the 1982 has a dark garnet color with some amber creeping in at the edge. The wine offers up a big, smoky nose with licorice, cigar box, cedar, and sweet cherry and black currant fruit. The wine is lush, medium to full-bodied, low in acidity, and very expansive and user-friendly. 89
