Description

A superb older presentation of Sandeman Founders Reserve Port, complete with its original Sandeman presentation carton and period promotional leaflet – a lovely survivor and an attractive piece for any Port enthusiast or collector.
Produced by the historic House of Sandeman, founded by George Sandeman in 1790, Founders Reserve is a rich, full-bodied Reserve Ruby-style Port blended from quality wines selected for their depth, fruit and character before maturation in wood.
Expect a generous, warming style with ripe blackberry and black cherry, plum, dried fruits, chocolate, spice and a rich, sweet finish. Excellent with mature cheeses, chocolate desserts or simply enjoyed on its own after dinner.
This is an older bottling, evidenced by the period label design, Royal Warrant presentation, guarantee strip and accompanying original literature. The bottle remains sealed with the capsule and guarantee strip present.
The original presentation carton is also included. It displays considerable age-related wear, creasing, rubbing and edge damage, all clearly visible in the photographs. The accompanying Sandeman promotional leaflet also shows age and storage wear.
