Elegant Barolo from the legendary Borgogno family with notes of red berry fruit and spices. The wine is made from Nebbiolo by the famous family that has made Barolo in a class of its own for five generations

The critically acclaimed Barolo from Borgogno has a beautiful ruby red colour, soft and elegant nose with ripe red berry fruit, a little spice and mineral touches. The wine is round and elegant in the mouth with good structure and soft tannins with a long and warm finish. The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo, which has aged for about 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels before bottling. This powerful wine is a perfect match for tender steaks, roasts, game, ragout, mature cheeses and hearty risotto and pasta dishes.

Way back in 1897, Francesco Borgogno established the Fratelli Serio and Battista Borgogno winey, the only winery on the Cannubi Hill at the time. He was the mayor of the town of Barolo for more than 30 years, and as a recognized leader, he established an informal association of grape growers to collectively help solve problems in the vineyards and share knowledge. The estate remains in the family, with fourth-generation sisters Anna and Paola Borgogno now handing the baton over to daughters Emanuela and Federica.
