Description

A superb expression from the legendary 2003 vintage, this vintage port is a testament to the remarkable growing season that year — marked by intense heat and low yields, resulting in a deeply concentrated and age-worthy wine. Bottled in 2005 after traditional foot-treading in granite lagares, it has matured gracefully in the cellar.

Now over two decades old, this port offers a rich, opulent nose of black cherries, dried figs, cacao, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with layers of dark fruit, licorice, spice, and well-integrated tannins leading to a long, powerful finish. Decanting is recommended to fully appreciate its complexity.

Still vibrant with great aging potential, this is a prized addition for collectors or connoisseurs looking to experience one of the finest port vintages of the early 21st century.
