Description

This auction is for a bottle of the The Dalmore Dee Dram, season 2012. From the Rivers Collection including the Spey, Tweed and Tay, this edition is in support of salmon fishing on the Dee.

'The River Dee is revered the world over for its picturesque beauty, clean crisp waters and of course its exceptional salmon fishing. Deeside and its community were chosen by the Royal family as the perfect location for their sumptuous summer castle, Balmoral.'

It is a 12 year old whisky matured in Oloroso sherry and American white oak casks. A limited number of cases are produced each year.

Tasting notes from Dalmore:
Colour – Rich mahogany gold
Nose – Powerful and full bodies with vibrant notes of spicy cinnamon, followed with dark roaster coffee and chocolate.
Taste – Enticing flavours of tangy orange peel, ginger liquorice and walnuts, followed by ripe plums and wild berries.

Out of stock on many online merchants so a chance to get one while you can. The 2010 is selling for c.£85 so if you can resist it might prove a reasonable investment especially for a whisky with a specific year on.
