Description

Perfect condition bottle of this legendary Lafite.

I bought 3 bottles of this wine about 10 years ago from the cellar of a fancy hotel. I befriended the sommelier who confirmed that the hotel had bought the bottles en primeur (and who expressed considerable embarrassment that a member of staff had written bin numbers on the labels - see pic 3) so they have only laid in the hotel's cellar and my wine cooler since release.

This wine was awarded 100/100 by Parker in 2003, and 98+ in 2010 with this accompanying explanation: " Since I gave this wine a perfect score, I suppose some could see this as a downgrade. I found everything still there for a perfect rating, but I was just struck by how tight and backward the wine was".

It will be interesting to see whether the extra 8 years in the bottle has done the trick - and here's your opportunity to find out with no reserve. Bonne chance!
