Description

Can't find any direct reference for this wine. Broadbent says of the 1870 vintage '4* the last of the small post-oidium vintages and, of course, unbeknownst to both growers and merchants, also the last major vintage before phylloxera which arrived on the island with devestating consequences two years later.'
Not currently listed anywhere on wine-searcher but some bottles were available in Switzerland last month for £407.19 ex taxes.
