Offered here is a superb bottle of Vega Sicilia Pintia 2004, the fourth commercial vintage from Vega Sicilia’s Toro project. Sourced en primeur and privately cellared, the bottle is in excellent condition.

A structured and expressive wine from a widely regarded strong vintage, the 2004 received excellent critical praise:
Robert Parker (95pts) noted:
"The 2004 Pintia comes from a superior vintage. Similarly styled to its older sibling, it is simply more flamboyant and opulent. The temptation is to drink this heady effort now but those who can delay gratification for a few years will be amply rewarded."

This sentiment is echoed by other critics:

93 pts – Wine Advocate: “Dense, powerful… ripe tannins and exceptional length.”
93 pts – Vinous (Josh Raynolds): “Vivid dark berries, mocha, floral lift, persistent finish.”
19/20 - Jancis Robinson: “Very dark purplish crimson. Very well integrated and savoury. It’s almost sitting in an armchair at its club. Lovely and unctuous – wonderful texture – and none of the heat and obvious sweetness of many Toros. Bravissimo! Dry finish. A lovely drink by any standards.”
