Description

Known for their elusiveness in the marketplace, Wendouree wines have cult status for good reason. Exceptionally cellar worthy, these full-bodied & gripping red wines are the result of extremely low yields from the very old, 100yr plus vines which grow un-trellised on the estate.
Wendouree is a treasure trove for great Australian red wine collectors, highly sought after and rare, and with a fantastic pedigree for longevity & quality. Truly one of Australia's true icons - for lovers of big Australian red wines the discussion begins & ends with Wendouree.

Made in an authentic Clare Valley style harking back to late 19th-century winemaking traditions. Vinified in open stainless steel lined fermenters and matured for 12 months in new (20%) and seasoned French oak, The Shiraz-Malbec oozes voluminous blackberry, plum and mulberry fruit, a whiff of eucalyptus, and fine and persistent tannins.
This gem of a wine is only a handful of places in the world, none currently in the UK. Ratings between 92 and 97 points, this promises to be truly outstanding.
