This small & unique parcel released by Yalumba from the depths of their seemingly infinite cellar, really showcases the best of Australian fortified wine. Matured for 8 years in French Oak, making a well rounded & exquisite wine that will pair with any blue cheese or a host of puddings.
Rich, dense and unctuous, with incredibly warming alcohol heat that belies this wine elegance. A subtle floral nose of raisin, hazelnut, butterscotch with a background note of burnt caramel. Christmas pudding in the mouth, with dates, raisin & vanilla. Beautifully balanced, a wonderful character, powerful & intense, yet elegant and with a persistent finish.
