The Henry’s Drive range reflects exactly the wineries approach to winemaking. The fruit is sourced exclusively and carefully graded with only the very best from small sections of the family vineyards in Padthaway. Made with minimal intervention, each are single varietal wines of great length and longevity that are a true expression of their vineyard, region and variety. The vines are on average 13 years old, and grow in sandy loam over limestone on the hillside and in red loamy soil over limestone on the flat.

94 Points - Robert Parker

The 2003 Shiraz is a full-bodied, opulently-styled red that smells of crème de cassis and blackberry liqueur intermixed with smoky meats, espresso roast, jammy black fruits, liquorice, earth, and toasty new oak. It should evolve nicely for a decade or more.

Other details

This is the last bottle of the 2003 Henry's Drive Shiraz from a mixed case bought on BFW. All were delicious and would make any Shiraz fan happy. This bottle has an excellent level, with a slightly dusty label. Lack of space warrants sale.
