The difficulties of 2013 are well known, but as with the 2007 this is tasting good right now. It has soft red fruits and gentle extraction, with far fewer tannins accompanying the fruit. This doesn't have the concentration to be truly long-lived, but it's fresh, open, lilting and carefully made.

On ne présente plus ce cru que son phare construit en 1825, gardien de l'estuaire, a rendu célèbre. Son vin, toutefois, a lui aussi sa part dans cette notoriété. Son terroir, l'un des meilleurs de Bégadan, permet au cabernet-sauvignon de s'exprimer sans crainte. Le 2003 en apporte une illustration par sa superbe teinte rouge sombre et par son bouquet d'excellente facture. Les fruits rouges et le bois savent trouver un bon point d'équilibre, en parfaite harmonie avec la rondeur et la délicatesse de la structure. Un vin complet.
