Lot size: 1 bottle of 750 ml each Wine type: Red, 1979 vintage
Tax status: Duty PaidQuestion Mark Origin: Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
Fill level: Base of Neck (BN)Question Mark Grape variety:

Sold in excellent condition, with the capsules, labels, bottles and levels all in virtually pristine condition (remarkably so for 30 years old), these bottle have obviously been very well looked all their lives thus far.

As you probably know, Carruades is the 2nd wine of Ch Lafite Rothschilds. Prior to 1985, Carruades was known as Moulin des Carruades. Carruades and Moulin des Carruades are one and the same. Therefore, the status and profile of these bottles is of course, quite something. Historically, Carruades has received scores and ratings commensurate with 1st Growth wines. And during its production it receives the same level of attention from the same great team, that the fabled 1st wine receives.

A very fair reserve has been place on these bottles that takes into account the current market value, along with the profile and prestige of this wine. This wine is available from two UK outlets - from approx £395 per bottle - and per case only. My reserve per single bottle is very comfortably below this.

The bottle(s) will be send very securely packaged and fully insured the buyer on receipt of cleared payment. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Please also see my other bottles for sale. Lastly, please by all means see my feedback attained whilst I have traded on BfW. It is very important to me that everything I sell is very accurately described and received by the buyer in the condition it is auctioned by me. My feedback score and commentary is I believe, testament to this.
