1958 WARRE'S Vintage Port
Arrow

Description

From the depths of a Dorset country house.

No label (as was often the case in those days)

The vintage is quite clear on the red wax closure.
Level: Very dark/black glass but level just discernible with a strong spotlight at Very Top Shoulder.

According to the Wine Spectator: "A very fresh, clean and delicate Port. Light ruby with a garnet hue, light and peppery on the nose, light-bodied, with fresh cherry flavours, silky light tannins and a sweet finish."

10/22/2006 - ANDREWSTEVENSON.COM WROTE:91 Points
This has a very light, almost pinky appearance. Sweet, nutty, almondy nose. This is very pleasant, and quite lively with interesting flavours and a floral elegance. For me this has a bit of a tawny feel to it.
After around five hours, this has come round a lot and now has lots of floral elegance.
