Description

From Cellartracker

The Latour looked good in the glass and smelt even better. It had complex aromatics of smoke, antique furniture, sweat, meat and cassis. In the mouth it was quite rich and full with discernable red berry fruits, a touch of cedar and tobacco and plenty of savoury nuance. It still had ample structure with some graphite like tannins. It really fanned out on the finish leaving a delightful inner mouth perfume once swallowed. Jeremy Holmes 8/4/2014

and

This was amazingly still alive and well and very viable [including the cork]; I had to catch myself more than once to avoid the typical swirling of the glass to preserve the treasures herein; no browning in the medium purple color, it had a medium light body containing spicy wild black berry, red cherry/ berry flavors which held on for a complete experience. 12/9/2012 Blake Brown 95 points

Of course, I have seen poor write-ups for this wine too, as it won't always have been kept well; but my case was obviously kept in very good condition.
