The last tasting note on Cellartracker for the 1990 Delas Cote-Rotie Seigneur de Maugiron:-

"Nose strawberries, smoke, slightly oxidised. Elegant, smooth tannins, fruit old and thin. Long aftertaste. As with many older wines, better with food than by itself. Last of our bottles. Has maybe 1-2 more years of life, but hardly more".
(91 Points).

LETO SOUTH. (Cellartracker.31/5/2014).

Wine Spectator awarded this wine with 89 Points on 30/11/1996.
Currently according to Winesearcher, only one wine merchant (in the world) is currently retailing a bottle of this wine in the USA at a price of approximately £116 (ex tax) per bottle.

"A 100% Syrah cuvée that takes off with potent, berry, tobacco, herb and toast aromas. Shows just the right amount of sauvage animal notes the grape is noted for. Big, dry and supple, the palate displays tart-sweet fruit, a slight chalkiness, and leather and earth accents".
(89 Points).

Roger Voss. (The Wine Enthusiast.Tasting Note on the 1997 Delas Saint-Joseph Cuvee Francois de Tournon).
