The 2011 vintage for Piedmont was overall very good. The intense aroma of Barbaresco Marchesi di Barolo 2011, offers notes of wild rose, red berries, black cherry, liquorice, cinnamon and balsamic hint.
Producer tasting notes: "The colour is garnet red with ruby hues. The aroma is intense, persistent, with clear scents of fruit, dog rose and spices. The taste is full-bodied but at the same time harmonious and balanced, with graceful, never-too-prominent tannins." - Marchesi di Barolo
