Description

The Malbec Aguaribay 2019 from the Uco Valley is aged for 1/3 in used French barrels. Brilliant purple in the glass. It has a scented nose of fresh plum and cherry with floral and herbal aromas over a whiff of rum cake. Relaxed on the palate with a cool fluidity and a bit of tension softened by soft tannins, it's better than an everyday wine with good nuances and a finish sustained by juicy freshness. Drink Window: 2021 - 2029.
Critical Acclaim: 90 Vinoso
Winemaker's Notes: Red with good intensity, the intense aromas of Aguaribay Malbec are similar to ripe cherries and raspberries that, combined with the light vanilla, give this wine elegance and finesse. On the palate it is smooth and silky, with round tannins. It is a medium-structured wine, designed for a short aging, as freshness and unctuousness are its greatest virtue.
