An incredibly well preserved bottle. I attempted to take a pic of the fill level with the bottle upside down, but it's much darker glass than modern bottles, and I just couldn't get the shot. But what i can tell you is that the angels will be very miffed with their share from this particular bottle. It's not far off at the same level it would've been when it went to bottle 65 odd years ago.
The label is intact, and other that for a few nicks to the foil, the cork and capsule look to be in incredible condition too. I think you'd have to look far and wide to find a better bottle of '55.
For fear of teaching anyone to suck eggs (grapes?), Renaudin-Bollinger & Cie is the old name for Bolly.
