Description

www.pierreferrandcognac.com will tell you a lot more...and in colour.

This is a very rare and "cult" cognac presented in its original luxury carton with blue silk lining and in a cut glass decanter.
From Segonzac in the Grand Champagne region of Cognac - the best - this was bottled on 1st September 1992.
The bottle comes with its certificate of origin signed by Pierre Ferrand - see photos and bears the number 35.

The certificate states :-
"The Ferrand Estate, family owned and operated since 1702, is personnally managed by M. Pierre Ferrand. All Ferrand cognacs are made from grapes grown exclusively in Grande Champagne, the first growth district of the Cognac region.
Production standards far exceed those used to make VS, VSOP, Napoleon and X.O. premium cognacs. Ferrand cognacs are only made with very old lots using traditional craftsmen methods. As a result the Ferrand cognac took top honours at the Concours de Vieilles Eaux de Vie de Grande Champagne, a competition among Grande Champagne producers."

They sell off their younger cognacs to large cognac houses who use it in their X.O. ranges...
