Chateau Lafite Rothschild second wine has an excellent and well deserved reputation as a high desirable and collectable wine. Aged in oak barrels that contained the previous years vintage of Chateau Lafite, the wine has incredible and structured concentration. The aromic complexity is truly grandiose. The 1993 vintage of Lafite de Carruades displays a character similar to Lafites, as well as fine ripeness and tasty, currant fruit wrapped in a medium bodied supple framework. Robert Parker.
